Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has recently acquired a $90 million mansion in Miami, expanding his already impressive property portfolio. The luxurious waterfront home spans 12,135 square feet and boasts six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, beautiful lush grounds, a sparkling outdoor pool, and a putting green.
This acquisition comes in addition to Bezos' two existing properties in the 'Billionaire Bunker,' each carrying hefty price tags of $68 million and $79 million. Situated next to real estate developer Jeff Soffer and NFL great Tom Brady, Bezos' new mansion offers an exclusive and prestigious neighborhood.
Property records show that Bezos purchased the home off-market, which last sold in 1998 for $2.5 million. He and his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, plan to reside in the home temporarily while they develop their other properties on the same row. Their long-term plan is to demolish the existing abodes and construct an even more impressive mansion.
Bezos' decision to make Miami his permanent home comes after he announced his departure from Seattle in an Instagram post, citing his desire to be closer to his parents, who recently moved back to Miami. His parents, Mike and Jackie Bezos, have purchased two waterfront homes in Coral Gables for $78 million.
Meanwhile, Bezos' ex-wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, has been active in philanthropy, recently donating $640 million to US non-profits as part of her $38 billion divorce settlement.
